Does Clinton know her role or not…

Posted by Stephen on March 24, 2008

In her desperation to prove her experience, Hillary Clinton is touting that she was a key foreign policy advisor to her husband during his time as President. Her proof, it seems, is a 1996 trip to Bosnia where she claims she “landed under sniper fire.”

No matter that, one, it is completely inappropriate that the wife of the President would be involved in top matters of U.S. Policy here or abroad, and, second, she’s dramatizing the events of her Bosnia trip for political purposes, which is to say, there was no sniper fire.

No one should be surprised. After all, this is Hillary “I’ll do and say anything to be President,” Clinton.

The story, as she told it during a visit to George Washington University last week, is that she remembered a trip to Bosnia where she remembers, “landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.”

However, popular comedian Sinbad accompanied Clinton on the trip and had a very different recollection of the events that transpire. Fox News is reporting that he recently stated that he recalled a much more relaxed trip, and according to Fox a Washington Post fact-check piece on Saturday lambasted the claims.

Additionally, a CBS News report of the trip posted to YouTube shows a smiling Clinton and her daughter, Chelsea, shaking troops’ hands and touring encampments in the open.

Sadly, it is another example of a Washington insider, desperate to cling to power, saying anything to get a nod of a head, a dollar donation, and the promise of a vote.

Then again, if a person will say anything just to get a vote, just how far can she be trusted with your interest if and when they collide with her agenda?
