Jewish group “chickens out,” disinvites Palin

Posted by Stephen on September 18, 2008

In a ridiculous about face, Jewish organizers of a protest rally geared toward sending a message to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad have disinvited an elected official who supported their message because of political pressure brought about by Democrats and Hillary Clinton supporters who support nothing more than their personal agenda of power and partisanship.

Organizers said they aren’t being partisan. They decided to bar all elected and federal officials from the rally on Monday in fear of a “media feeding frenzy.” The rally was specifically intended to protest Ahmadinejad’s presence at the United Nations.

Yet, media coverage is just what organizers want, need and are thirsty for. Without it they are left pondering the age old question; if a tree falls in the forest and no one hears it does it really make a noise?

In an attempt to rise above the Democrat’s attempt to cloud the issue, Republican Presidential nominee John McCain continued to keep his eye on the needs of the American people.

“We stand shoulder to shoulder with Republicans, Democrats and independents alike to oppose Ahmadinejad’s goal of a nuclear armed Iran. Senator Obama’s campaign had the opportunity to join us. Senator Obama chose politics rather than the national interest,” he said.

Not lost on McCain, however, was the foiled opportunity by Democrats for America to come together as one.

Senator John McCain, who earlier attempted to coax Barack Obama into joining the rally in lieu of Clinton, said in a statement Thursday that Palin’s invitation was “withdrawn under pressure from Democratic partisans.”

Democrats in leadership today can’t keep their eyes on the ball and they are quite hopeful that come November you can’t either…
